The Executive Committee meeting of POA was held at the Avari Hotel today. The Committee after the recitation from the Holy   Quran by Mr Khalid Mahmood, paid homage to the victims of the tragedy at Siachen and those of the Bhoja Airlines crash. 

The Chairman of the Sports Commission, Mr Syed Aqil Shah, on the request of President POA briefed the Executive Committee on the deliberations of the meeting of the Sports Commission held the day before to discuss the mandate given to them by the President POA regarding the holding of the various games.  The following points were discussed:-

• Inter-Provincial Games. The Balochistan Olympic Association intimated that they are ready to hold the Games in end June and that they would intimate the exact date by 5 May.
• The National Games.  Would be held at Lahore from 21 to 27 October 2012.
• Youth Games. Rules will be formulated for approval by the General Council.
• Women Games. Will not be held separately. Their participation would be increased in the National Games as well as the Inter Provincial Games.
• Beach Games. Would be held in Karachi in Feb/Mar 2013

Thereafter the soft opening of the web site was carried out.
