The Pakistan Hockey team moved into the Olympic Village after a ten day acclamitisation stint at the Cannock Hockey Club, Birmingham, South Staffordshire, UK. Apart from the regular practice sessions Pakistan played two matches against the Cannock Hockey Club team.
The Pakistan team was very well looked after by the large Pakistan Community and especially enjoyed the meals of rice, curry and nan breads so kindly prepared regularly by the local Pakistani Community.
Pakistan took up their accommodation in the Olympic Athelete Village on Sunday when they were received at the Village by the advance team of Mr Akhter Gangera, DG PSB and Mr Imran of POA.
POA thanks the Pakistani community for their care and concern and wish the Pakistan Hockey Team every success in the upcoming London Olympics.
