ISLAMABAD - Waqar Mehboob of ZTBL overpowered Mansoor Zaman of PAF 3-2 to win the National Seniors Squash Championship 2012 title at Jansher Khan Squash Complex, Abbottabad, this was informed by Mehboob Khan, father of Waqar while talking to The Nation on Saturday.

He further said, Waqar won the first game with the score 11-7, but Mansoor Zaman bounced back and won the second game 12-10 and won the third game 11-6. Waqar came back strongly and won the fourth game 11-7 to take the match in to fifth and final game.

Waqar played superb squash in the fifth game as did not allow Mansoor to give reply to his powerful shots and outclassed him in the fifth game and won 11-3. Mehboob Khan had given country three world-class squash players in the form of Farhan Mehboob, Waqar Mehboob and Waqas Mehboob, and it was Farhan who recently provided Pakistan a much needed joy and helped them retained the title, when he beat world number 25 Indian player in the final of the recently concluded Asian Senior Team Squash Championship in Kuwait.
