Dear Media Friends,
The ISSF Executive Board held a meeting with the Organizing Committee of the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games Konya 2021 regarding the organization of the Games under the current world health situation of novel corona-virus (Covid-19) and the difficulties that some member countries may face regarding the slow vaccinations and air travel procedures which may affect the participation of the member countries. Keeping in view the situation the ISSF Executive Board and the Organizing Committee of the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games Konya 2021 have decided to postpone the Games till 2022.
The new dates have been announced and the Games will now be held from 09 August to 18 August, 2022 at Konya, Turkey in an adequate and healthy environment that ensures the safety of all participants.
